Our History

Derryll graduated with a business degree; hired by Auto Club in 1977, achieved “honor roll” sales status in 1978 for AAA. Recruited by State Farm, Derryll landed in the San Gabriel Valley as a State Farm Agent. However, realizing one company cannot provide the best coverage for customer needs; he left State Farm for the Independent agency.

The next eight years he spent at Auto Insurance Specialist (AIS); he became the assistant to the President, a leading salesperson, with management responsibilities. With this background, he acquired Bisson Insurance Agency in Yorba Linda in 1988. Over the years with Mercury Insurance Group; Bisson Insurance achieved the coveted “Chairman’s Club” status in California. Shaped by his past insurance experiences, Derryll has strived to serve the community and enrich the lives he has met.

Our Team

Derryll Gehring

President

Derryll has been the President of Bisson Insurance since 1988. He now focuses most of his attention on his ever growing family: parents, children and grandchildren. He has spent the past thirty years with his beautiful wife that encourages all to a healthy and adventurous lifestyle. They live to hike weekly in the hills of Laguna to the peaks of the San Gabriel Mountains. Their adventurous hearts bring them to experience new restaurants in unexplored cities along the California coast and beyond.

Chris Gehring

Commercial and Personal Lines Manager

Chris has happily served at Bisson Insurance for over a decade. He is married to his wonderful wife Kaycee and they have been blessed with three beautiful children. When not in the office, Chris devotes all of his time with his family. He is a recent home buyer and projects around the house keep him very busy. On the weekends, he enjoys his time at soccer fields and Boy Scout activities. Insurance is never far from mind; Chris has his sights set on obtaining his CPCU designation in the very near future.

Kelly Sanders

Personal Lines Agent/Customer Support

Kelly was born and raised in Southern California. She began her insurance career in 2003 before joining the Bisson Insurance team in 2012. Outside of the office, Kelly is very involved with her family and enjoys days spent at the baseball field with her husband, watching their two sons play ball.

Tracy Costanzo

Customer Service Representative

Tracy has been in the insurance industry for over ten years.  She and her husband spend their free time raising their two beautiful daughters.  Volunteering heavily with their Girl Scout troop and coaching any sport they participate in. Tracy is also an avid reader whom consumes all the latest trending books that hit the book shelves.
